How to install your 2022+ Platinum / Wildtrak-X Roof Racks onto your Next-gen Ford Ranger or Raptor

We see so many posts about people asking how to install the Platinum Roof Racks  and have absolutely no idea or reference to guide them! 

Hopefully these pictures & info will serve as a reference to help you get your roof racks  on your Next-Gen. 

For Ranger Models Sport, XLT, XL, XLS, RAPTOR

Fitting instructions for the Roof Racks 

NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO DROP THE WHOLE HEAD-LINER FOR THIS JOB. Save time and frustration by following the steps below. 

Tools needed: 8mm Socket & extension , 15mm socket & extension , Silicone or other sealant , head lamp , trim ply tool. 

Lay the roof racks out to make sure you have the correct parts 1x left & 1x right side

STEP 1: Open all 4x doors and pull down the rubber door seals half way. 

STEP 2: Front - Pull down the head-liner corners until you can see the 8mm Bolt and take out . 

STEP 3: Ply off the top of the rear side plastic covers until you can pull the corner of the head-liner down until you can see the 1x 8mm bolt each side.  Take out each 8mm bolt.

STEP 4: Lift off the rubber strip on the roof

STEP 5: Place the sealant around the holes 2x front & 2x rear

STEP 6: Place the new roof racks into place and use the 15mm botls to tighten down into place.

STEP 7: Replace the trim and rubber door seals back into place

STEP 8: Let the sealant dry and then water test the roof to ensure no water is leaking inside past the bolts.
